[Art]村上隆の絵が売れなかった？
10月４日のサザビーズのオークションで奈良美智の「NORTHERN LIGHT」絵が約５千万円(3,860,000HKD,レートは今日のもの)で売れた。

ただ、このオークションでは村上隆のフラワーマタンゴという作品が見積価格3〜４億円で出品されると以下のリンクにあったが、Auction resultsに載っていないので、見積価格に達せず売れなかったということか？

[Japanese Treasure]知恩院集会堂(重要文化財)で上棟式

浄土宗総本山知恩院（京都市東山区）で8日、元祖法然上人800年大遠忌記念事業で修理中の集会堂（重要文化財）の上棟式が行われた。

　大遠忌は2011年3月に始まることになっており、この日はその900日前。式では修理現場に祭壇を設営し、僧侶約10人が読経して法要を営んだ。坪井俊映門跡は「最後まで修理が無事に終わるように」と述べ、安全を祈願。

　参列者が「エイ、エイ、エイ」の掛け声に合わせて棟木を屋根に上げる曳綱の儀を行った後、直垂などの伝統衣装をまとった関係者が、古式にのっとって建物の永遠の繁栄を願った。

　集会堂は火災で焼失後、1635年に再建。法然上人の教えを受け継ぐ場として使用していたが、屋根瓦が破損して雨水が浸入するなど老朽化していた。修理は2005年7月に始まり、10年末に落慶の予定。〔共同〕(15:02)]

Korin's Fujin-Raijin BE@RBRICK 光琳の風神雷神BE@RBRICK

On 13th August 2008, the BE@RBRICK of Fujin-Raijin* was released at the shop of the Tokyo National Art Museum.
(* Fujin literally means "the spirit of wind" and Raijin means "the spirit of thunder.")

It imitates the composition of "folding screen with Fujin-Raijin" painted by Ogata Korin.

As the original of "folding screen with Fujin-Raijin" is painted by Tawaraya Sotatsu and Ogata Korin's is just a variation of it,
I feel slightly sad that BE@RBRICK's is, so to say, the double variation of original.

Still, it is tremendously good piece. It has been successful to match Fujin-Raijin with BE@RBRICK except the ear of bear.

Check and see it if you go to the Tokyo National Art Museum!


2008年8月13日、東京国立博物館のmuseum shopでBE@RBRICKの風神雷神バージョンが発売された。

注意したいのは、このBE@RBRICK、風神雷神図屏風とはいえ尾形光琳のものを元に作られているということ。

光琳の風神雷神図屏風は俵屋宗達が描いたものを微妙に構図を変えて模写したもので、風神雷神図を元にしたBE@RBRICKを作るなら本当のオリジナルである宗達バージョンで作るべきだろう。大変残念である。

ただ、この商品自体の出来は大変良く、熊の耳がやや不協和音を放っているが、屏風の風神と雷神を非常に上手くBE@RBRICKに落とし込めている。
かなりの秀作なので東京国立博物館に行ったらミュージアムショップで是非手にとって見て欲しい。

Exhibition: miniature books 豆本の展示

Do you know a Miniature book? A miniature book is a very very small book and is called Mamehon in Japanese(MA-ME means bean).
Today, a Mamehon exhibition is to be held in Omotesando Tokyo.
12 artists show some mamehons each other and will amuse you!
Their concept is "like a medison for weary persons".

「カプセルブックス -効く豆本-」展が2008年9月7日より11日までの5日間開催される。
豆本とは手のひらほどのとっても小さな本のこと。

Exhibition:Aida Makoto 会田誠の個展

3rd September 2008, A radical artist, Aida Makoto, opened an exhibition "I am IWAKI of Mizuma Art Gallery" at Mizuma Art Gallery(in Nakameguro TOKYO).
Last year,Aida largely exhibited on two-person show with YAMAGUCHI Akira “Art de Sauro" . But this time, the exhibition is by himself only and also his first domestic exhibition in three years.
It will be on view through 4th Octorber 2008. Let's go and see!


現代美術界、当代一のやらかし作家・会田誠の個展がミズマアートギャラリーで始まった。タイトルは「ワイはミヅマの岩鬼じゃーい！！」

Packing Buddha in Toshodaiji 唐招提寺 金堂平成大修理進捗

The big project of repair of the Toshodaiji --very important temple in Nara-- is near completion.
Press Net Japan reported that the 3 Buddhist Sculptures -National Treasure- had being packed carefully on 12th August 2008.
Now, 3 Buddhist Sculptures are ready to move to the correct place which is the Kondo[Main Hall] finished repairing.


奈良の唐招提寺の平成大修理が終わりに近づいている。
１２日に、移動のために仏像を丹念に梱包する様が報道された。
今月下旬に、修理が終わり覆い屋根が外された金堂に国宝の仏像３尊を移動するのだそう。

the movie"TOKYO!" 「TOKYO！」公開は明日

Three directors [ Leos Carax, Bong Joon-Ho, Michel Gondry ] make each films about Tokyo. The movie "Tokyo!" is open to public tomorrow.

When a foreigner comes Tokyo, I am always confused. Which place should I recommend to go? Emperor palace,Traditional park or a seeing spot where you can see a complicated buildings view?
So I think that this movie will help me on such probrem.

Louvre Isram Wing ルーブルにガラスの新館

The Louvre will open new space for Arab and Isramic arts.
They start building it in July 08. It is designed by the architect Jean Nouvel.
We can expect of wonderful roof made of glass.

2008年７月、ルーヴル美術館はイスラム美術部門の新スペースの建造に着手。
建築家はジャンヌーベル。2010年open予定、天井はガラスの凄いのができる模様。

Creamy Mami クリーミィマミが渋谷で人気!?

DO you know "Creamy Mami"？　It's girl's animation TV program of 80's.
Now Mami is accepted for young peaple(as who are enjoying nightclubs) in Shibuya. A clothing maker produced some clothes using illustration of "Creamy Mami" and imitated Mami's costume boldly.
Even famous talent Shokotan wrote her delighting feelings that get the clothe.


クリーミィマミのイラストを使った服が渋谷で売られている。
クラブピーポーやギャルなどの夜遊び人向けの服屋さんで。
イラストを使ったものは順当だとして、特筆すべきは優(変身するとマミになる小学生)の服を模したもの。カラーバリエイションもあり、男性向けのものも用意したという大胆なプロデュースが良いと思う。
